Hey there guys. I had an interesting idea, and I was wondering if I could get your opinion on it. It seemed like a really neat idea to me, but it would be a lot of work, so before I jump right in, I kinda want to see what the interest in such an idea would be, and if anyone would be willing.

I was talking to a friend just now about some of my pictures, and about how I've saved all of my oldest pictures and how some day in the future it might be neat to post up my oldest work I can find (still have the first picture ever lying around somewhere!) just to see the comparison and show people that even the best people had to start low somewhere.... not that I'm the best, but you get my point.

Then I sorta got this idea... wouldn't it be neat to start a club or something here on dA that revolves around just that very idea? I was thinking we could make a giant portfolio of sorts here that would feature the oldest work they could find from every artist we can get that's willing to contribute. I'm talking like... not the oldest work in your gallery, but those pictures you did when you were first learning to draw, even scribbles as a kid if you went back that far and saved them lying around.

What do you guys think? Wouldn't it be cool if we could organize this? Imagine seeing one of your favorite top artists out there, and then coming to this gallery and being able to see a picture they did years and years ago or even as just a kid, to be able to see how far they've come and how they've evolved, and even see that this god of an artist was one day even worse than you! XD (No offense, you get what I'm saying. It could be a good encouragement tool for beginning artists, too!)

So what do you guys think? I could make a separate account to organize them all, and anyone that's willing could just note me and link me to their picture they want to submit to the gallery along with a short blurb if they wish, and then I post it with their blurb and a link to their real gallery....

Does this sound like a good idea to you guys? Would you be willing to find the oldest picture you have and submit it to such a thing? Let me know your thoughts, if it seems good I think I might organize this.
